Press Presentation Team Yamaha De Carli

Yamaha De Carli, the factory Yamaha MX-team with riders Antonio Cairoli, Tanel Leok and Alessandro Lupino presented it’s riders to the press last week. They did this on a unique location: the building of the Belgian Maserati and Ferrari importer near Antwerp.

“Yamaha De Carli is an Italian based team, with 2 Italian riders”, says teammanager Bengt Van Veldhoven. “I thought it was a good idea to give a bit of the unique Italian flair to this presentation. The team trains and lives in Belgium for most of the year. Because of the proximity of a lot of training tracks and the central location of Belgium, our riders stay in Belgium during most of the GP season. So we made mix of a Belgian location and Italian style.

As personal sponsors of Antonio Cairoli and Alessandro Lupino with Donjoy and Compex, DJO was present at the press conference. Lieve Vanden Berghe, DJO Vice President of International Marketting was interviewed by 5 time World Champion Joel Smets. This was a great opportunity to talk to  the press about the involvement of DJO in the World Motorcross Championship and the commitment to safety in motorcross riding.

At the end of the evening, Tanel Leok, winner of the Italian MX1 Grand Prix this year, announced that he will also be using Compex as a part of this training. That means the entire Yamaha De Carli Factory team relies on DJO products.
