Ramon Closes Season with a Win

2009 hasn’t been the best of years for Compex rider Steve Ramon. He sustained a serious neck injury in April and was not able to ride for 3 months. Using Compex to regain strength and to keep his muscles in good shape, Ramon came back from the broken neck at the Belgian GP in Lommel. He immediately ended up on the podium.
In the last Grand Prix of the season, the Suzuki factory rider did even better. In the Brazilian GP Ramon finished second overall and he won the final heat of the season. He dominated from start to finish and had no troubles with his neck.
“My neck is totally ok now. I just had a bit of a problem getting into my rhythm”, said the 29 year old. “Because of the heavy rain, we could not ride on Saturday. We had to ride the qualifying race and the time practice on Sunday morning. Without the ‘warm up’ on Saturday it took me a while to get going. I was a lot better in the second heat and it feels great to be back on top. Now I’m focussed on doing well in the Motocross of Nations. We have two weeks to go for that and I’m looking forward to it.”
