Laier Brings Donjoy Close to its First World Title

By winning both heats in the Swedish WMX GP, DonJoy rider Stefie Laier has come within striking distance of her first world title. The German was unbeatable in Udevalla.

Using the DonJoy Defiance knee braces, Laier powered to a win both on Saturday and Sunday. The track was very demanding and on Saturday the temperature, nearing 35°C made riding very hard. Laier showed she has the speed and fitness to deal with these conditions. She has now opened a 37 point lead on her only remaining rival, Larissa Pappenmeier. If Stefie Laier scores 13 points or more in the only remaining Grand Prix in August in Holland, she is the new Women’s Motocross World Champion.
