Joël Smets and the Benefits of Compex

One of the most noticed spectators at the French Grand Prix was five times world champion motocross rider Joël Smets. After he ended his career in MX, Smets turned to enduro. He is now an ambassador for the German brand and part time TV commentator. Smets is one of the most successful riders of all time and he still keeps in shape. That’s why he tried out Compex during his visit to the French GP - “I’ve worked with Compex before”, said the BMW works rider, “but I have to admit I never really explored the possibilities of it.

Now the French Compex representative, Jean Berger has taken a few minutes to demonstrate the possibilities of the new generation Compex Mi-Sport, I must say I’m impressed. I see the benefits of this device on a lot of levels, the possibilities are endless and there are so many advantages to that. I work with a lot of young riders in an MX programme sponsored by the Belgian government, I’ll definitely be talking to these youngsters about Compex. They have to train professionally and I think Compex is a part of modern professional training.”
