Cairoli Confident After US GP

Tony Cairoli left the United States with a GP victory and a big lead in the World Championship in his pocket. The reigning World Champion now leads the standings with 41 points. His closest opponent, the German Max Nagl, had a bad day in the Glen Helen GP and even before the season has reached its halfway mark, the gap with Cairoli has become very big.

“I feel very good at the moment”, Cairoli says. “And I’m very happy with the confidence I have in my Defiance III knee braces. After my knee injury two years ago, I switched to DonJoy and I haven’t had a worry since then. For sure, DonJoy is part of the key to my success.”

The fastest MX rider in the world now prepares for this weekend’s Grand Prix in St. Jean D’Angely. This is where the season reaches its halfway mark. With a new victory Tony Cairoli has the possibility to open a gap of more than 50 points. That’s exactly the amount of points that can be earned in a full GP. Even with only 6 Grand Prix’s behind us, Tony Cairoli once again looks like he’s heading for the world title…
