Antonio Cairoli Shines in Dutch GP

DJO rider Antonio Cairoli has once again impressed everybody in the 4th GP of the season. Cairoli won the first heat and finished 3rd in the second heat. This tied him for the overall victory with KTM rider Baragan.
More than scoring the most points in the Dutch sand, Antonio Cairoli extended his lead in the world championship. He now leads with a 15 point margin over Jonathan Baragan.
“This was a very good GP for me”, says Cairoli. “At first I took it easy, because I got hit by another rider in the start and a few spokes in my front wheel were missing. I was careful, because i thought the wheel could break. After about 20 minutes I was sure the wheel would hold up and I started pushing. I overtook everyone and won the heat after a big battle with about 8 riders. It was very exciting and the crowd went crazy.”
In the second heat a bad start pushed the Donjoy-rider back and when he came to 3rd position, Baragan and his teammate Leok were too far ahead. Still ‘Tony The Tiger’ scored the highest points of the day and he holds on to the red plate that shows he is leading the world championship.
